Ash at 5 Months!

Here is Ashton at 5 months (almost 6 months by the time I post it) and he is doing great! He is such a sweetie pie. He is laughing, cooing and loving his big brother so much! We are just having so much fun with him!

He is starting to sit up....for a second or two and then he crashes!

Ike, Ike Baby

Oh yes, Ike has come and gone and luckily our house rode out the storm pretty well! It must have been Glenn's good work at boarding up the windows! We are also very lucky to have electricity....all of our friends here in Sienna still don't have power! Here are the pictures of our house pre-Ike...we don't have any aftermath pictures but just imagine trees, fences, lights, and signs down EVERYWHERE!

Our little window unit that kept us VERY COOL! The funny thing is....Glenn and I thought you could just plug it in and sit it on a chair and it would cool. Thanks to my sister, she informed us that we had to put it in the window (HINT...WINDOW UNIT) for it to work! Thanks Miklyne for the heads up!
Poor Leyton...his little world was turned upside down for a couple of days. He didn't understand why he couldn't watch his TV and why he had to take a bath by candle light! Thanks to this portable DVD player he was able to watch his morning TV and give mom and dad a break for a bit!

And here is where Ash was most comfortable....swinging outside in the wind! (yes, this was AFTER Ike past!)

Like his big brother, Ash has a little showing off to do as well...Gammy sent him this bunny and as you can see he just goes to town with it!! He is so proud that he can finally pick up a toy and swing it! Too cute!

Leyton started gymnastics today and he had a blast! I was VERY shocked that he got into this harness contraption thing and jumped! I was even more shocked that he did everything the instructors asked him to do...he is normally pretty shy to try new stuff, but I guess his shyness is FINALLY fading a bit! Thank goodness - school should be a little easier to tackle this year!! YEAH!!! Check out his gym skills!

Lake Travis!

This past weekend we took a trip up to our friends lake house in Lake Travis. We all had a great time, especially Leyton...he loved every minute of it. He was able to do all fun "boy" stuff and run loose! Even though he was the only boy (other than Ashton) he was able to hang with all of the girls!Leyton, Kennedy and Kendall in the tractor heading down to the lake!

Ashton at 4 months!

Ash had his 4 month check-up yesterday and he is doing GREAT! He weighed in at a whooping 17 pounds and is 27 inches long! The doctor said he was ready for his entertainer and jumper...and he is just having a ball in them! He is just a cutie pie! We are loving every second with him. Here are a couple of updated pictures of him.
